Author and CEO Tom McFadyen Appointed Chairman of National Retail Federation’s Associate Member Council  

October 12, 2022, VIENNA, Virginia – McFadyen Digital, the leading global agency for e-commerce marketplace strategy and implementation, is proud to announce that CEO Tom McFadyen has been appointed as the new chairman of The National Retail Federation’s (NRF) Associate Member Council (AMC). Mr. McFadyen previously served as the council’s vice-chairman for the past four years and has been a member of the council for almost 13 years.  

The AMC was established in 1995 and represents a select committee of NRF Associate Members, who provide goods and services to the retail industry. Its members meet annually to ensure the needs of the NRF’s member companies are met and to provide valuable feedback to the NRF. The strategic “think tank” function of the AMC directly benefits an NRF membership representing over 3.8 million retail establishments & over 50 million retail employees. 

“I’m honored and thankful at this chance to give back to the retail community that we’ve been collaborating with for the past three decades,” remarked Mr. McFadyen. “The Associate Member Council provides a voice for those who support the retail industry with goods and services to the world’s largest retail association. While the NRF provides valuable services, events, and insights year-round, the NRF Big Show 2023 in January is its marquee event. Held every January in New York City at the Javitz Center, the Big Show is one of the largest retail events in the world. A recent AMC two-day planning session at the NRF Washington, DC office saw many retail thought leaders participating and sharing valuable insights that will certainly be reflected in the educational session tracks of the Big Show.
