Interwoven DataDeploy

Interwoven DataDeploy offers the ability to synchronize XML content and metadata from the Interwoven® TeamSite® repository to industry-standard relational databases. DataDeploy empowers Web application developers with access to up-to-date product content in the database through automated content publishing and seamless integration.

Specifically, DataDeploy gives you the power to:

  • Publish TeamSite metadata to relational databases
  • Publish TeamSite Templating XML content to relational databases
  • Map XML content and metadata to new and existing user-defined database schema
  • Use Interwoven OpenDeploy to synchronize deployment of file system assets and database content in a transactional and secure manner

User-defined Schema Support

DataDeploy supports any user-defined relational database schema. Building on the product's ability to flexibly map XML elements to the database, DataDeploy allows end-users to map TeamSite metadata, capturing TeamSite content through templating to any normalized database schema.

XML Content generation Support

DataDeploy provides a flexible way for the user to generate XML content files from a user-defined SQL query targetting multiple tables. Users can enter any standard SQL query supported by the target database server. This functionality allows users to have fine control over the amount of data produced for the XML output file.

Precise Content Control

DataDeploy’s transfer operations are configurable according to user-specific requirements. For example, administrators can decide which specific content is to be transferred and where it should be transferred. DataDeploy can also be configured to transfer only a subset or modified content to the destination.

Scalable Architecture

DataDeploy can operate in either 2-tier or 3-tier mode. In 2-tier mode, DataDeploy client replicates content directly from the development server to the destination. In 3-tier mode, a DataDeploy server is added in mid-tier to forward the content to multiple destinations. DataDeploy also provides automated synchronization when deploying large amounts of database content to numerous production servers.

Cross-Platform Deployment

DataDeploy is capable of cross-platform transfer between UNIX or NT platforms.
