Software Quality Manager
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead development, maintenance, and promotion of the Program Management Methodology (PMM) which is based Six Sigma, PMI or CMM best practices.
- Develop and maintain strategies for implementation, improvement of processes from metrics and management input.
- Develop and maintain metrics to ensure adherence to enterprise
policy, process, procedure, and best practices for Project management and Software Development as well as operational support functions.
- Drive Software Quality Assurance projects of major magnitude and scope. Provide significant guidance and approval regarding Software Quality Assurance strategies and approaches.
- Evaluate critical software quality indicators, identify proactive opportunities for continuous improvements and execute against them.
- Mentor and support the functional and IT project managers by
providing the tools and training needed to help ensure they deliver on time, on budget projects with high customer satisfaction.
- Coach, mentor and advisor for issues, project risks, quality, communication and execution of projects.
- Generate weekly project scorecard and metrics, status summary
reports and risk analysis.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Information/Computer Science or a
related discipline.
- More than 7 years software experience preferably in the Software Quality Assurance arena, CMM or Six Sigma.
- More than 7 years of project experience involving multiple enterprise level infrastructure projects.
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or PMP certification.
- Understanding of PMI project management best practices as well as IT operational processes and procedures.
- Proven experience in project planning, resource allocation and
project management.
