eBusiness Technology Architect

your Java-based N-tier application server experience and lead
our team of exceptionally sharp developers to create enterprise-scale
web solutions.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates will lead teams
to implement custom web solutions to the specific needs of
our clients. Tools include web application servers from ATG
Dynamo, Interwoven Teamsite, Java, Oracle, HTML, XML, VB,
and other IDEs. Scalable, complex, transactional web sites
will be created quickly by leveraging commercial tools. This
position's responsibilities also include:
- Build upon commercial web
application server products with custom code.
- Develop and document customizations
to commercial products to meet the client's requirements
including object oriented design (UML), security definition,
workflow flowcharts, database changes, screen changes, and
custom documentation.
- Coding languages/environments
may include but are not limited to Java, SQL, Visual BASIC,
HTML, XML, and/or JavaScript.
- Assist in analyzing client
processes through needs analysis and recommending new business
models.
- Mentoring other developers.
- Occasionally assist in
documentation of requirements analysis, design specifications,
user's guides, or project work plan.
- Assist with overall project
management, time estimates, and resource scheduling.
- Travel to client sites
as needed and provide weekly written status and expense
reports.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- 5+ years experience in
enterprise-scale application development and integration.
- Experience in formal development
methodologies (OOD, UML, RUP, WBS, CMM, etc.).
- Web site design (GUI tools,
"user experience" designing) and web technologies
(HTML, Javascript, CSS, etc.).
- Java (JavaBeans, Servlets,
EJB, J2EE) and OO (UML, case tools) programming.
- Familiarity with architecting
solutions (3-tier, H/W & S/W recommendations, load balancing).
- Familiarity with UNIX,
NT system configuration (networking, file sys, registry,
scripting) and Network configuration (TCP/IP, web servers,
firewalls, security).
- Oracle administration (SQL,
installation, tablespaces, SQLnet).
- Written communication (requirements
spec, system design, proposals).
- Oral communication (customer
interaction, requirements analysis, training).
